Teaching is a challenging, dynamic, creative, customized and evolving craft. The challenge is not in the physical act of doing the job as anyone can stand and narrate few words in front of an audience, but the challenge is to do it in an effective and efficient manner. I believe the essence of teaching is to facilitate the learning process and to get the students to engage in the learning process. It started, right after I graduated college, at a local center that teaches educational classes to the public. Then, I got a job as an accountant doing financial and auditing work. A year later, I started my MBA program which was the turning point in my career because at each and every presentation the professor would complement my presentation skills and recommend that I seek a career in teaching. On the third semester I was recruited by one of my MBA professors to teach in a newly established university in Cairo. After that I started my PhD program and for four and half year during which I was teaching in the accounting department. The best part of all these years of personal development and teaching was that I was on both sided of the classroom, as a teacher and a student, which helped me fine tune the wants and needs of students and also refine my teaching and presentation skills to better address and audience. I am currently the advisor of the Towson University Society of accountancy (TUSA), which typically is intended to introduce what accounting as a career would look like for freshmen student or students who are not aware of what account career could be like, however, TUSA outgrew its role and is functioning just like other nationally recognized professional accounting associations like Beta Alpha Psi. In this student association, I work hand in hand with student officers running the student organization to provide all members with skills like making professional resume, networking and social business skills, and initiating a connection between students and professional organizations for the purpose of internships and hopefully a full time job opportunity after
