The science teacher wanted me to focus my lesson on comparing and contrasting animal and plant life cycles. I modify some of the activities I created in my lesson to address the new objective I was given by the science teacher. For instance, during my explore portion of the lesson, I had students looked at a bean seed and dissect it completely so they can see the components of the plant. Then we discussed the different stages that the bean plant went through. When doing the activity, the bean seeds where not soaked enough, for the students to take the bean apart. I then decided to show the students a picture of what they were supposed to see. I Then the students reviewed what animal cycle is by ordering the stages of the animal cycle I gave them. Sometimes one as teachers have to modify our lesson so students can fully understand the concept being taught. I also feel that when time is an issue I as the teacher have to modify and sometimes simplify the activities so all the things that need to be taught in one class can be taught. In addition, when delivering my lesson I learned that it is important to know all the concepts that we are teaching in order to not miss anything when teaching a lesson. Furthermost, I feel that sometimes I add so many concepts in the lesson that are hard for me to remember them all. When I do that, I come to think that if I had a hard time remembering all the concepts, then my students will have a hard learning about them. I analyzed my curriculum using the HISD scope and sequence. When utilizing the scope and sequence, I made sure that address all the things that were supposed to be taught in that lesson. In addition, I ensure that my lesson was aligned with the objective. When analyzing my teaching I check for students understanding. If most of the students understood the concept then I know I did a good job at teaching the
