I was a basketball player and a track participant, I was always afraid my grades would fall, but she always tutored me. She helped me in every way she possibly could and she never gave up on me. One morning I misplaced my notebook that contained my reading assignment for the day and she brought me another one, I left my belt and ID card at home one day when they were checking for them and she gave me one out of her room someone never claimed and a temporary ID. Mrs. Janis would also read my assignment for other courses to make sure they were correct. My eleventh grade year of school, I suffered an illness that affected my physically and emotionally. It caused me to be out of school a lot and miss lots of important information. Mrs. Butler offered to have me come twice a week to catch up on anything I may have missed after school until I was able to come back. Upon my return, I withdrew myself from classes that I was placed in for extra help and started doing the work on my own.
