For this health analysis I determined my THR ( target heart rate) using the formula (220-age x .60) and (220-age x .75) ; knowing that my maximum heart rate is 201 and my resting heart rate is 80 bpm .I decided to find out both my current target heart rate as well as my goal target heart rate . I range in the 60%, which makes my target heart rate 120.6 beats per minute. My goal is to be able to reach 75% up to 90% which will then make my goal range 150.75 - 180.9 bpm. I then decided to calculate my body mass index (BMI) online which concluded to 30.2. I range between overweight and obese; a healthy body mass index will be between 18.25 and 24.9, according to WebMD. Lastly I calculated my blood pressure at a local mall. I came …show more content…
Knowing that I am 5’4 and weigh about 176 pounds my BMR is: 1,558 calories / day. I also calculated my consumption for 7 days, which I show at the bottom in a chart. I started on July 17 - July 23. Writing my consumption for seven days has made me realize how bad my eating habits are. I personally only drink water but for this week I drank some soda and Gatorade. I also noticed that I consume too much fast food. The reason that is because right after school I have work, and the fastest food to get in hold of is in the food court. In addition, I wrote down my seven day sleep chart, which is in a chart below. I noticed that I sleep very late due to work and being social media. I then wake up early so that I can get ready to go to school or work; so practically every day I get less than 8 hours of …show more content…
I was able to do 30 crunches for my first try, then for my second try I was able to complete 36 crunches. For pushups, I was able to do only 3 on my first try; I then tried it again and was able to complete 5 full pushups. As of for my fitness and workout plan; I don’t have one. I go to the gym occasionally, only when and if I have time for about 1 1/2 hours. My favorite cardio exercises I do are on the treadmill and the elliptical. At times I try to work out on my strength on my legs and arms, but it isn 't something I do every time I go to the gym. As of for my cardio respiratory endurance, it is very low. I do the same routine every time I go to the gym, and that itself is very

Wellness Assessment Paper Two results that were surprising or helpful to me were my physical nutrition subtotal and financial average because I didn’t think that I was doing okay financially and doing everything right. Also, my physical nutrition was a surprise to because I thought I was doing everything but turns out I need to do some more work and improve on it a little bit. Having better physical nutrition can be motivated by my goal to lose weight and become a healthier person. This is all connected back to the holism theory which states that for most needs to be motivated and have some motivation to improve on and they also need to be arranged on a hierarchy.…

After completing lab 4a questions on the Heart Disease Risk Factor Questionnaire I totaled a score of 22. Having history of heart disease in my family on my mother side was one of the ones I I got high risk points on. Another one I got high risk point on was regular physical activity. I need to put more effort into exercising. "Regular exercise can help prevent heart disease and stroke by strengthening you muscle, lowering your blood pressure, raising your high -density lipoprotein(HDL) levels (good cholesterol) an lowering low-density lipoprotein (LDL) levels (bad cholesterol), improving blood flow, and increasing your heart's work capacity."(Davis 2017)…

On September 17 and 18 I recorded the various foods I consumed, during which I found out a lot about my eating habits. Though I could claim that these two days weren’t my healthiest of days, I still found patterns that I can identify as fairly consistent. Beginning with the optimistic side of things, I only overate the recommended intake of sugar by one gram on the first day of the analysis. Along the same lines, I had room to eat more sodium by the end of the first day. I made fairly good snack choices, aside from dessert, with such foods as peanut butter and fat-free pretzels.…

The calculated goal intake for carbohydrates in anywhere in the range of 1134-1639 calories, and my intake was 1087 calories. My value could be low possibly from the fact that I don’t normally eat large entrees that are high in carbohydrate content (i.e. pasta dishes etc) and would rather balance my meals with fruits, vegetables, and some sort of protein source. My other values for protein and fat intake were in range, with protein being more balanced, and my fat intake being on the higher end of the scale. The higher amounts of fats in my diet was alluded to in my calories and fat report, because my fat intake was equating to be 35% of my caloric intake, which is the limit of the range. If my fat intake increases by 68 calories or 7.5 grams, then this will put my intake above the goal range.…
