My Symbolism

My symbol A symbol is defined as a mark or character used as a conventional representation of an object, function, or process. A symbol that is important to me is money. “I love money. I love everything about it. I bought some pretty good stuff. Got me a $300 pair of socks. Got a fur sink. An electric dog polisher. A gasoline powered turtleneck sweater. And, of course, I bought some dumb stuff, too.” -Steve Martin. Money represents happiness, security, and power to me.
Money brings me happiness in all kind of ways. I can buy material things with money. I can buy the games and electronics that I want. I can get the stuff I need to draw and make art on my free time. I can even buy as many books as I want and read to my heart’s content. I can

It makes me feel in control. When I have money, I feel in control of life. I feel like I have my job, my school, and my home life all under control. With money, I feel powerful in my personal life. It gives a huge boost to ego, confidence, and charisma. I even feel in control of other people to a degree. I can pay people to do stuff for me, they will come to me when they want or need money, and people will also idolize me. Power of money also produces gluttony. I can get all the entertainment stuff I could ever want. Such as games, books and music. I can decorate to my heart’s content. My house, my vehicle, and my clothes and accessories. There’s no limit to what I can get. I can treat myself to events whenever I so please. I can go traveling, go out on the town, and go shopping at any time. Money also makes me comfortable in life. I don’t have to stress nearly as much. In areas like work, home, and out at town. I would always be covered/insured. I don’t have to worry about surprises, I would have confidence in my choice, and I would always be able to financially assist other people. The power of money makes me feel aristocratic also. I feel like I am in the higher class, like I gain respect, and I’m the judge in situations where people need or rely on me financially.
Money is my symbol. It represents happiness, security, and power. The song “paper planes” by M.I.A comes to mind with its lyrics; “All I wanna do is (Bang x4) And a (Gun cock) And take your money”. The way its upbeat rhythm fits with the lyrics really expresses how I also feel, not about guns, but about money. Symbols aren’t always clear in people’s lives, Although they carry great
