This course has improved myself as a writer and has a critical thinker; with the essays that were written I was challenged to ask more questions and see the bigger picture on things and view a subject from all sides. I never wrote an argumentative essay before this course, so this course taught me what it was how to write one and what exactly I was looking for and what I would be able to improve on. I know there is still room for improvement, but taking this course has already made me a better writer from when I started. Writing argumentative essays would help improve many skills as an individual by learning how to approach important issues without taking a side and learning this would also help if a person was trying to prove a point…

Learning different modes of writing and putting them into practice will allow me to be able to approach different subjects with an appropriate style. Although I had learned to use only academically credible sources before, I had become too lax and this class put me back on the right track of being aware. I have only done papers in APA format for the past two years, so this class was a nice refresher on MLA format. I think it’s important to be fluent in both; while in college you never know if different teachers will require a different format than others. Beyond improving my writing ability, this class achieved its critical thinking development goal as well.…

I feel my biggest success was adjusting to the idea of technical writing and implementing what I have learned. Taking this class was a bit intimidating at first. I had never been involved in a class like this and with a name like Technical Writing, it sounded very strict, difficult, and the opposite of fun. Once I started doing assignments, my whole perspective on technical writing changed and I was more successful that I thought I would be. The biggest challenge of this course would definitely be the group projects.…

Since my bachelor degree was in a different field and Human Resources Management was not a part of my job as a teacher, I did not have any background of Human Resources Management and although I had to do my own research to understand it in general, the course has given me a wide understanding of Human Resources Management. In all cases, there were two remarkable concepts that I gained from the class which are: The impact of diversity and technology in the workplace on development. The focus of Human Resources Management should be on skills that employees have and their performance rather than considering them less skilled because of their differences, which has a negative influence on the organization 's development.…
