While in high school and taking dance classes, I was quite proud of my flexibility. However, that was not well maintained post-high school and I have noticed that particularly in this class. One movement that makes it especially noticeable is grand battlements. My height use to be much greater for those kicks, but, in this half of the semester, I have struggled to get them waist high. Developes are also not as high or as strong as I would prefer. Generally, those combinations were ones that I enjoyed more than the others which I believe is why I was able to perform them better. The traveling waltz combination is one that I find a delight to do as I love the flowy, elegance of the waltz step. While I sometimes get off balance or lose my spot, I still believe it is one of the combinations that I have performed best. Another combination, although it was more just one type of movement, that I believe I performed especially well in the final exam class is the sautes. I enjoyed the jumps and felt confident while performing them, which I believe influenced how well they were executed. In other areas, I have noticed slight improvement to my skill in ballet and I believe that this class has been beneficial to my dancing ability. My core in better engaged, I am more aware of my body while dancing, and my technical knowledge has increased. Additionally, I feel more confident when executing ballet movements than when the semester began. In an area with improvement, I believe that my piques and spotting have improved from when we began performing them in class. I was truly struggling with spotting and doing the piques well when we started going across the floor with this move in class. Since that time, I have improved my spotting although I am still not as good as
