My Strengths In The Movie Assignment

Decent Essays
One of the strengths in my movie assignment is giving the reader clear picture of the story without giving too much information. In my assignment one of the clear proofs given is “ ever since her father died, her stepmother has treated her like a raggedy servant girl.” In this proof I have given a clear understanding of how Cinderella’s stepmother has treated Cinderella without giving too much information. It is important to be clear when writing but not to have too much information because you do not want the reader to lose interest in what the story is about. Gremlins is the name of this film, and the title suits the film excellently. It is during the wintertime in Kingston Falls. One genre isn’t enough to choose from, so I chose American Horror Comedy because there is comedy throughout all of the film, but only towards the end does it start to become a horror film. William “Billy” Peltzer was a main actor portrayed by Zachary Gilligan. Now Billy's sidekick, Kate Beringer, is played by Phoebe Cates.…

The movie that I chose to do this paper on is Weird Science. Directed by John Hughes, this film is one of my favorites and was introduced to me by my parents. Weird Science was released in 1985 and is rated PG-13. I chose this film for my assignment because I thought that not many people would chose this film and I also have a deep love for 80’s movies. This movie definitely follows the three act story structure because you can clearly see the development of characters, goals, and conflicts in Act 1, the actions taken to defeat the obstacles in Act 2, and the goals achieved in Act 3.…

Thelma and Louise, a film by Carolyn Ann Khouri, trails the liberations of two working class women in the 90’s. These women plan a weekend away from the men in their lives due to the fact that Thelma’s husband is a misogynistic man who feels that a woman’s job consists only of housework and cooking. In the first scene of the movie Thelma wants to ask her husband, Darryl, for permission to go on the trip with Louise. He yells at her and she quickly changes the subject. In my opinion, this is one of the most crucial scenes in the entire film because it outlines the sexism and discrimination that these two women will face throughout the course of the movie.…

The movie not show much about Leon’s past life but he is an introvert and there is a shortfall when it comes to having relationships and connections with other people.
