When I leave sixth form I would like to move on to university for three years to do a degree in English Literature. From there, I haven’t decided what career I would like to do, but I am hoping starting my A-Levels at Post 16 will show me what I enjoy, and what my strengths are. I would like a career that I find enjoyable and very rewarding, and one that I can progress in so that I have something to work for.
The requirements for a degree in English Literature at universities such as Sheffield and Manchester are an A in English Literature at A-level, which is what I am hoping to achieve. In other A-level subjects another A and a B is expected, and so I have chosen subjects that I enjoy to get the best possible results out of them.
One of my strengths is that I am ambitious and hardworking. I am able to set myself a goal and find out the necessary steps to achieve it, and will work hard until I can. Another strength I think I may have is my ability to work well under stress. I am naturally a very disorderly person, and struggle to keep things tidy and organised, which means I struggle to prioritise certain tasks. I also tend to procrastinate which means I end up doing everything at the last minute, which could ruin the quality of work. Because of this I would like to work on organising myself and my work properly. I would also like to develop the way I revise and find new ways to do it, because currently the only way I find useful is reading over information, answering questions, and teaching it to others. I am also by nature a very negative person, and see the bad in myself and the situations I am in. I would like to gain more confidence and become more of an optimist, so I can be confident in the work I
