I, as an individual unit in this community, and I am struggling my best to be a better person in this business world. In order to improve myself, I need to find out what my strengths and weaknesses are. I did Self-assessment Exercises Prof. Bin Ma provide for us. It included eight different categories, which covered Emotional Intelligence, Leadership Style, etc,. Actually, people usually had hard time to search one’s conscience without the help of outsiders. Perhaps, any processes in our life such as studying in school, looking for a job, furthermore, these Self-assessment Exercises did very good job at analyzing human behavior. The first Self-assessment Exercises I took is Emotional Intelligence, my score is 37 out of 50, this could be my strengths, means I can easily to get alone with people around me. However there are still space to improve myself by reading some articles. For instance, J.Segal, Raising Your Emotional Intelligence (Holt, 1997), etc. When I break down Emotional Intelligence into self-awareness, self-management, self-motivation, empathy and social skills. In the other word, I will choose to give up ethics if they are against with the way to make more money. There is a danger that I might lost myself during the way I am making money.
