The responses I received highlighted such qualities as perseverance, drive, dedication, commitment, patience, communicative skills, and endurance. I discovered some personal strengths and weaknesses during my volunteer experience at the Kunshan Aging Care Center. My volunteer time was spent in the rural communities in an effort to determine if working with children would be a good fit for me.…

Throughout my adolescence and teenage years I would come across multiple opportunities to demonstrate a position of leadership, but I would be discouraged to do so. The reason for this is because during those years of my life I was fixated on other people’s strengths and less of mine own. Which influenced me to believe that I was neither a contributor nor a leader, so to speak. Triumphantly, this mindset of mine changed as I entered college and discovered a whole new identity of my self. This paper will discuss some of the strengths and behaviors that I possess, as well as interjecting the feedback from others in the survey process.…

What I have learned over the ten-year period since moving to Canada is astronomical, and this has facilitated the development of my skills that would expand my horizon. Although my personality is a bit of a hindrance, I have taken steps such as expanding my network…

Throughout this semester, the most useful lesson I learned was from doing this self-assessment, which assisted in having a clearer understanding of who I am and who I will become. More importantly, they allowed me to better understand my own strengths and weaknesses, and how to better develop them. This understanding is essential to me as a future practitioner in the events industry. In this essay, I will discuss my own leadership style as “pacesetting” based on the self-assessment result proposed by Daniel Goleman (2000). I will first discuss my leadership strengths (e.g., time management) and weaknesses (e.g., lack of negotiation skills) retrieved from the self-assessment and my daily life.
