Looking over the directions on how to complete the Clifton StrengthsFinder assessment it sounded like another psychological analysis into our minds to track the way we think (Anderson, Clifton, & Schreiner, 2006). It reminded me of a test given by major companies to a candidate for an available position to see what made you tick or find out if you would steal from them or go postal on the whole company. But to my surprise I actually learned something about myself, things that came natural to me to the point of not really paying any attention to them. According to this assessment my top strength is Strategic which does make sense to me when I started to review the results printed out on my report.…
My five strengths in order of most to least dominate are: competition, Strategic, Achiever, Deliberative, and command. Additionally, I must say that the test was extremely thorough, and in my case was positively accurate. Moving forward, I hope to establish greater use of my top five strengths by learning to implement them in my personal and professional life.…
" List at least 4 strengths here. Use complete sentences. " Based off an assessment that I completed this week during week four, I have a great ability to motivate people and encourage them to be more productive. " A strength I have acknowledged in the previous weeks of this course is my ability to mediate situations and make them as pleasant as possible. " Regarding personal life experiences, through years of training to be the best wrestler I could be I have developed a level of self-determination that I believe is valuable.…
The big Five has highlighted several of my interpersonal strengths but also my weaknesses. My strengths are Openness to Experience and agreeableness which pleases me. I am however quite disappointed over my low score in conscientiousness because of the often-stressful workplaces I might end up in. Goals.…
After reading a few chapters of Strengths Quest, I was instructed to participate in the Strengths Finder assessment (Anderson, Clifton, & Schreiner, 2006). This 30 minute assessment was an interesting tool that pointed out my greatest strengths. It also provided a detailed description of what having those strengths mean and examples of how they are prominent in a person 's life. After taking the StrengthsFinder survey, I discovered that my five dominant strengths are empathy, harmony, consistency, relator, and restorative.…
My strengths would be my organizational skills and my positive attitude. My organizational skills are my greatest strength. I am capable of keeping many assignments, projects, and exams on track at the same time. I schedule my workload such that I am able to meet all deadlines on time and still have time for extracurricular activities. My other strength would be my positive attitude.…
Upon completing the StrengthsFinder survey, it is determined my 5 greatest strengths are the learner, achiever, competition, strategic, and relator, all of which I expected (Clifton, Anderson, & Schreiner, 2006). While reading the text I examined the various themes of different strengths, relating closely to the 5 assigned by the survey, I am impressed by how well the explanations were written in the book, Strengths Quest Second Edition. The text in correlation with the materials provided from the StrengthsFinder survey brought forth meaning and depth into finding out exactly the type of person I am. Learning is listed as my top strength in the survey (Clifton, Anderson, & Schreiner, 2006). I believe I have used that trait extensively throughout…
My personality I have noticed is unlike others. According to 16personalties.com, my type is one of the rarest, making up about .8% of the population. Like most personalities, I have my strengths and weaknesses, flaws, pros, and interesting traits. My type on the Myer Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), I got the INTJ personality type. INTJ stands for, Introverted (I), Intuitive (N), Thinking (T), and Judging (J), I personally scored high (88%) on the introverted part.…
Before I took the StrengthsQuest test, I had no idea what my strengths would be. After taking the StrengthsQuest test, my five strengths ended up describing me as things I never saw myself as. This test described my strengths as an activator, a relator, a communicator, an empathetic person, as well as saying that I adapt very well. I can agree with StrengthsQuest that I am these five things.…
I would say I rely on all three of these strengths every day and find myself using at least one of them in almost all situations I face. I think all three strengths are beneficial to my cognitive, behavioral and emotional health, but I would say my behavioral health is benefited more by kindness and generosity, my emotional health is benefited more by gratitude and my cognitive health is benefited more by humor and playfulness. Your Top Strength…
Naviance is a tool that helps juniors and seniors in high school during the college admittance process. The tests include personality, learning, and career clusters. During my freshman year I took these tests and two years later my results are still relevant. “Do What You Are” is the personality test and my results came out to be ENTJ which stands for Extravert, iNtuitive, Thinker, and Judger. To me, I think my personality is very strong and can overpower other people's, in a boss position this is a good thing but as a listener it is a weakness.…
Personal Strengths Inventory This strength assessment is very accurate and confirms strengths that I already recognized about myself. My first strength is connectedness. I believe that the strength of connectedness centers on people, your interactions and relationships with them, and how those moments affect your life and the lives of those around you. My second strength is adaptability. Adaptability is the ability to move from task-to-task quickly without becoming disorganized and frustrated.…
I believe that my top five strengths have definitely played a major role in shaping my personal theology and who I am today. My first strength is competition, which of course is a major part of me. My competitive nature is probably what has driven me to excel in all things I do, particularly in sports and education. Sometimes this characteristic of mine can be quite annoying though, because I tend to take things to seriously even when it should be a lighthearted event. My second strength is discipline.…
Zachery Roberson Virtues and Actions I participated in taking a survey created by the University of Pennsylvania to evaluate your personality on 24 different characteristics. The purpose of the questionnaire is to find which of the 24 character traits are your strengths. The survey is 240 questions long and is comprised of a series of statements, most of these statements ask how much you think the statement sounds like you, but several of them ask how other people see you. After taking the test, it listed several of my strongest character traits, the top 3 traits being perspective wisdom, self-control and self-regulation, and love of learning. When looking at the reading the description of what perspective wisdom is, I would say that it isn 't describing the correct attribute.…
Before taking the StrengthsFinder test, I knew I had strengths and I knew I had weaknesses, yet I never could pin point exactly what they were. After completing this test, I now have a better understanding of what my current strengths are. Now being in a college setting, I think there are a plethora of opportunities for me to use my strengths to help others grow in their personal life and their relationship with Christ. From this test, I learned my strengths consist of harmony, responsibility, maximizer, consistency, and discipline. These five strengths are not the only strengths that show up throughout my life however, they are the most distinct.…
