My Spiritual Journey Research Paper

My time of meditation and prayer on this topic of describing myself and my spiritual journey thus far has caused me to reflect on many situations and circumstances that have played a direct role on my present day insight. Growing up, while always exposed to spirituality and Christian belief, I never saw myself as a person who would be chosen to serve in any capacity greater than as a member of a congregation. However, God obviously had a different plan for me. As a young girl I faithfully accompanied my grandmother to Sunday services at a Baptist church and quickly became involved in various choirs and auxiliary groups. Looking back in hindsight I see that my natural mindset only allowed me to view my participation as more than going along with the others and having fun but without honestly seeing the Godly purpose or preparation of my involvement. As I matured and entered into my teenage years my passion for music, especially gospel music, drew me closer to an encounter with God. Little did I know at that time that God was already ushering me onto a path of seeking His wisdom, knowledge and divine design. This to me is truly a distressing happening because we are witnessing more calamities, times of adversity and tribulations affecting our country and nation. As a result I am expecting that with a larger base of knowledge I can, as God allows and permits me, effect change and transformation in the minds and behaviors of the unsaved and unrepentant.
