Improved Essays
Dearest Zayn; I wanted you to know that everything you 've done for me--I couldn 't be more grateful. I don 't know if I could ever repay you, but writing this letter to you sure makes me feel a lot better because I took so much from you. I feel at home and I feel like I belong. I 'm surrounded by culture and I 'm surrounded by family, which is all I ever wanted. I wanted to thank you for allowing me to have this opportunity, and I still think about you everyday. You 're the reason I 'm here. I miss Jacob also. He was always such a huge part of my life and I loved him like my own. I am saving up to come visit the both of you again soon. I got to know him so well and I miss him so much. I hope he 's doing very well in school like he said he …show more content…
Everything in the kitchen had a minimalistic outlook; everything had a colour scheme; black/white and red. I was in awe. "You don 't talk much do you?" Liam inquired. "No, not much." I giggled insincerely. "And yes, you can call me Kat." He smiled at me as I followed him past the living room and onto the patio that lead to the backyard. The backyard was humongous, decorated with an abundant amount of flowers of all different kinds. There was a small underground, rectangular pool with pool toys floating around. There was also a small jungle gym and a tree with the nicest treehouse I 've ever seen. The treehouse itself was nicer than the house I grew up in, back in Queens, New York. And there he was. I saw Zayn 's head through the glass window of the treehouse, and I saw his son, Jacob. Zayn glanced at me and we made eye contact. He smiled as I saw him stand up and start to climb out of the tree house. Following him, was Jacob. "Hello Kathleena! My God you look even better than you did last time I saw you. How are you doing?" he questioned as he opened his arms for a hug. This is just like how we met last week. I 'm still getting used to all the touchy-feely in England, but it could be worse. Last week he pecked me on both cheeks and then hugged …show more content…
Like celebrating the Jewish New Year, celebrating Yom Kippur, Chanukah, and so on." He grinned and started going on about how that would be really nice and it would also be beneficial Jacob in learning that there are more religions than Islam and Christianity. It would be beneficial for him to learn about Judaism and about our holidays. Zayn sure does talk a lot, but I didn 't mind listening. He almost always made direct eye contact as he spoke with you, and his voice was very deep. He was calming to listen to, if that makes sense. "Thanks Kathleena for doing this. And also, Liam is staying with me until the tour starts in a couple months. His family is away on this cruise thing or whatever, so I offered him a room here. You 're room is right next to his, if you 'd like me to show you." "Where did Liam go? He has my

I just got done with my shift to protect Camp Half-Blood feeling very tired and stressed. With the camp’s protection being down and most of the campers going back to their families for the summer, this meant that there were very few of us to guard our safe haven. Lately, I’ve found the sound of crashing waves, wind brushing through my hair, and the slight smell of salt hitting my face very soothing ever since I had met my best friend, Percy Jackson.…

Let me begin by saying that I loved your letter. It was full of beautiful passages, and to this day I still save them in my memory. I know I owe you an explanation, and I'll get to that point later, but first I'd like to tell you my general thoughts and then answer your questions. I agree with your first point, there is something very special in written communication. It may be slow and impractical for contemporary standards, but it has a charm that technology cannot replicate.…

I hope that you’re well; it’s been a long time since we’ve seen each other. First of all, you must be wondering why I’m writing you a letter, so please take a seat and let me explain. Since we’ve all taken our own paths in life and I’m now married with two children, I had to move to Los Angels to create a better future for my family. There are much more education and work opportunities here compared to San Francisco, that’s why I had to move away. I would like to start of by thanking you.…
