While I was at home I practice the lesson with myself and my son. Before the day of the lesson I went to Frances Banta Waggoner Library which is also located in Dewitt, Iowa to print out the worksheets for the students and the student’s permission slip for our walk. When I begin the lesson I knew students were going to have prior knowledge about the lesson because they were learning this beforehand. So I gather the students on the carpet and grab the black dry erase marker. I wrote “NEIGHBORHOOD” on the board in big bold letters. I ask the students what does neighborhood mean. I brought out the white big paper so we can jot our answer out altogether. Everything we saw, heard, or smell we wrote it down. This was a great fun experience for me all the students participate I even had a couple of parents to join us for our walk. I feel like this lesson was successful. If I could do this lesson again I would definitely do it. After I was done teaching the lesson I gave each student’s an assessment to see if they understood the objectives of the lesson. If half or more of the students did not get the lesson, I would have gone back and seen what I did wrong and did it over again one on one or individually. Overall, 85 percent of students succeed the
