The majority of sisters will usually help each other out in most situations, but sometimes that may be not enough. I believe the strengths in the movie show that Kate had tried her hardest to fight this awful disease, but could still not overcome it. She was a strong girl that wanted to die but her parents wanted her to keep fighting and live. Kate’s younger sister Anna, was a strong girl to go through multiple surgeries to help her sister overcome this deadly disease. She was strong and also understanding of Kate when Kate decided she was not continuing her treatments and asked her to not do anymore procedures. My insight regarding the book or the movie, in the end one of the girls passes away. I thought the movie was better because even though Kate struggled for many years fighting Leukemia, it was her ultimate choice to end treatment. For once in her younger sisters life, Anna could live normal life she has wanted to live. In the end, if I got to change one thing about the book, I would change the part where Anna gets in a car accident and dies. I would change that because Kate’s treatments were not being as successful as they hoped, so she will eventually die without Anna. If Anna were to die in a car accident then they would not of los one girl they would of lost possibly two
