Navigating the twists and turns of life can be confusing and extremely frustrating without someone to guide you. With a strong role model in your life, everything can instantly become simpler. Personally, my older sister is and always will be my role model. My sister has taught me and still teaches me different ways to cope the the burdens of life and how to be an independent young woman. My older sister has taught me: don’t take no for answer - if you want something you fight to get it, life isn’t always rainbows and butterflies - turn the bad into the good, and people may differ in opinions from you, but that doesn’t mean that you should stand silent. This isn’t a bad thing, as she isn’t afraid to share her opinion when it comes to mind. I’ve always been really sensitive and timid when it came to sharing my opinion. My sister taught me to let the water roll off my wings and speak my opinion whenever given the chance. We’re given freedom of speech and you shouldn’t be afraid to speak what is on your mind. Actually got into a fight with her high school English teacher, in front of the whole class, because the teacher called homeless people and those who don’t attend college unmotivated and incapable of living a normal life. She won this argument and I don’t think I have ever seen my mom so proud of my sister. To conclude, my sister is an amazing role model and guides me through the paths of life when I become lost or confused. She has been my best friend since I was a little kid and she always will be. She is honest, hardworking, determined, and passionate throughout every aspect of life. I may not always tell her, but I appreciate her more than she will ever know. My sister is the reason that I am the strong and independent young woman that I am
