Bees are disappearing, and without them, Earth is in trouble. Bees are responsible for most of the flowers and fruit that humans enjoy. They spread pollen so plants can reproduce. If bees disappeared completely, much of our food would disappear as well. This would cause serious problems for everyone.
In addition, bees are an indicator species, meaning they show the first signs of something going wrong in the ecosystem. When an indictor species is in danger, people need to find and solve the problem quickly before the whole ecosystem falls apart. …show more content…
Like bees, they are being killed in large numbers. People fear and hate them, which is partly due to movies like Jaws and media propaganda. Many sharks are being killed because they taste good. Others are dying because of human fear. This must stop.
Sharks are a keystone species. This means they are a vital part of keeping the ecosystem balanced. Sharks can be found all over the world, and are responsible for keeping many species under control. Additionally, sharks are capable of resisting many diseases that plague humans. Studying sharks could lead to huge new breakthroughs in medicine and science. However, we cannot study them if only a few are left. People need to stop fearing sharks and work on protecting them and keeping them from disappearing, along with bees.
Education is the key. People need to be educated about the importance of bees and sharks to the ecosystem. We must teach them that bees are not out to sting them or their loved ones. Bees sting once and then die; their stinger is simply a defense mechanism. If people learn to not be scared of bees, then they will be less likely to kill them on sight, and more likely to plant gardens full of bee-friendly plants, which could go a long way towards saving these
