The shepherd guides his flock to their refreshment, where they can drink of the still stream without the fear of drowning. He leadeth me beside the still waters (line 2). However, the Lord wants to refresh you. He restoreth my soul (line3): The Lord is holding a man in the comfort of his arms. The Lord sends a healing down to you, so that you will full of life. This is done through speaking blessings, protecting, encouragement, etc. Here you have two people walking down a narrow path, holding hands. He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake (line 3). However, at times the shepherd will gently guide one down the right path. If a sheep was to go astray, the shepherd would leave his flock to search for that one sheep, and rejoice when he finds him. The Lord has a purpose and a plan for you. The staff is used also for discipline for a roving sheep, who wants to gaze separate from the flock. Thy rod and thy staff they comfort me (line 4). The Lord disciplines or chastises his sheep because he loves them. Slide 12: shows a table beautifully being put together, for a special occasion. Consecration: the act of consecrating; dedication to the service and worship of a deity. Also consecration can be an act of being cleansed before the Lord.
