I learned that sometimes even if you don’t want to work with someone it is best to think about the bright side and just get it done so you can accomplish your goals. When working with new people I also realized that it helps to get a new perspective on situations. Though you and your friends may see something one way, when you work with people you don't even know you can suddenly have this new outlook on a situation. This will help me succeed in things like the rest of my high school career and future things like college and and an actual career. This is because I like I mentioned before was able to receive a new outlook on empathy. I always thought of empathy as just being nice to others and respecting them but I learned that it is so much more than that. It is not only being nice and respectful but also helping other people make the best decisions and proving to them that their opinion is valued and matters. When I went to the first practice I absolutely hated it because in all honesty I hated running, at least for long distances. Then we started to get more involved and choose our individual events, That was when I found my love for sprinting and throwing. I had always been a “fast” runner but I couldn't do it for long periods of time so when I heard about sprinting I figured that it may work for me, and it did. At first the practices the were long and tiring but as the season progressed I became far more used to them and actually started to enjoy it. Not only did trying this new sport teach me how I learn to love things but also how to develop better relationships with others. When the season began I was generally quiet and didn’t really have much motivation to meet new people but then I started to interact with people I didn't even know and something clicked. All of a sudden just in a span of a couple months I had made literally about 25 new friends ranging from freshman to seniors. Over the span of mere months I found myself interacting and hanging out with people I wouldn't even ever think I would
