Self analysis is simply defined as the analysis of oneself, in particular one's motives and character. The aim of this assessment is to reflect on how I have become who I am and to briefly compose an autobiography. Instead of looking at my history in a sequential way, it aims by analyzing and reflecting the influence and factors which have shaped who I am today. In order to do this there are a few questions which must be answered. These include my family’s history, customs and traditions, how they have influenced my life and perceptions of leadership, when was the first time I realized my leadership potential, who and what experiences have influenced my values and how mentors and critical incidents transformed me. My parents encourage us to eat lunch and dinner together as well. This tradition has been there for a long period and helps us bond together as a family unit. We also bond by watching Indian drama shows which airs on television every evening. During our family dinners, my parents dwells on educating us on the way forward in regards to behavior and especially the need of an education. They discourage talking when the mouth is full as well as sitting inappropriately at the table. They keep reminding my sister and I how tough life was for them growing up and that having a good education can lead to a better life for us. They are very serious about our education as they want us to have a good job and a bright future.
