My least favorite part of high school has been probably all the drama that has not only been personal, but in our class as a whole, and even sometimes between multiple grades. There really shouldn’t be any drama when our school and students are super accepting and kind to one another, but this year there was so much which was pretty sad. A challenge I have faced in high school has been the drama that has occurred this year. I have learned that most of the time it’s all a misunderstanding but people are too afraid to talk to each other about their problems. Also that if someone is spreading rumors or telling your friends things, it’s not good for you to keep it in and it is important to speak and stand up for yourself and confront the person.…

A couple years ago when I was in 1st grade I started at a new school in Pasadena, California. The school was called Garvanza elementary. I liked living in California and having new friends at this school, but about half the school year my mother wanted to move to Arizona with my brother, sister and I. We didn't want to leave, but my mother said that she already got a house and a job over there. Even after we kept telling her that we didn't want to leave she made us pack everything and put it in the truck.…

I’ve been in school for about 11 years, every year is different, but yet the same. Because we are at the same school for years, it’s the same people, same school, and same everyday routine. Some years are better than others, but the overall best year that I’ve experienced is or was, 8th grade. The fun field trips to places, High School acceptance, and it’s the last year of middle school.…

I learned how to be independent and, I definitely matured. I started to do many things on my own because it was not all about me anymore. With doing things on my own I did not need my mother as much anymore because, I was in that stage where I thought I knew it all. A few years down the road my grandma had another daughter and I babysat her all the time, so I felt like her second mom, not her niece. With having a younger brother, and aunt, I tried to act like their second mom.…

The rest of the year was great to me, I finally saw the rainbow. I gained many new friends and I was/am doing fairly well in my classes. I overcame an obstacle of mine that was really large, and I am proud of myself for doing so. I finally got to see what it looks like when the clouds part. I went from being a stress mess to a straight success (maybe not success yet, but soon).…

My experience of stress can be best described as a rollercoaster, steadily climbing and once at the top it can plunge down and back up and to the left and to the right, almost as if the stress is controlling the ride. Stress has changed over the years as well. My early childhood life didn’t include the worry of life, but the concern of self. I grew up as a very shy individual and was constantly scared to talk or speak in many situations. I am not sure how or why I was a shy individual, but it was a big stressor during my early development.…
