My Saint John The Baptist Research Paper

A saint, according to the Catholic Church, is a person who has a very strong belief in God. For a person to meet the criteria of being canonized, they must be a servant of God. To be a servant of God you have to be “considered” for being a saint. They must be venerable. To be venerable you must have lived a life of heroic virtue and be blessed (How to Become a Saint). The Pope is in charge of whether the saint is considered blessed after the saint’s first miracle. They then must have another miracle and be brought to the pope and he determines whether he or she is a saint.
