How my SMART goal is related to psychology is that it have many words that describe the process of me learning “Hotel California.” The word shaping mean “The reinforcement of closer and closer approximations of a desired response” (Weiten 188). It shape me as my brother help me learn how to play “Hotel California” easier, and less stressful. My brother was the reinforcement that I needed to help me want to achieve my SMART goal of knowing how to play “Hotel California.” Since I learned a little bit with my brother’s help, my desired response was that I wanted to learn more, because I now have learned a way to practice playing the song an easier way to make it less stressful to learn, and less painful to my fingers.
