SMART goals are a widely used leadership tool that seeks to keep leaders and followers truthful about their desired goals. The success of any leader rests on setting realistic objectives and milestones, having a plan and executing it to succeed. The following two short-term goals will follow the SMART approach: Specific, measurable, attainable, relevant and time-bound. The SMART goal I have set in place for myself is being a leader for my staff with uniformity in timeliness of assignments. I have begun the process of completing my task list for the following day before I leave the facility. As I complete each task, I line through it with a red ink pen. I will continue the process for the next few weeks while, making the necessary adjustments to allow for meeting and reviewing assignments as necessary. The end result is to have all task completed in an efficient manner.…

After reading your response I realized I was not completely clear on my point of view. I have notice this before and am working on being more clear when writing but also have a balance on not over explaining that can lead me to run off topic. This is not ease for me to do but when I receive feedback from people truly telling me their opinion and not just I agreeing it helps me correct my writing style. So thank you once more for truly critiquing me and taking the time to read my journal.…
Hey Smit, I liked that you included “stress free” in your definition. Stress really does affect us in every way, mentally and physically. When a person has emotional stress, we usually tend to go into depression, not wanting to eat or even exercise. So stress does play a huge factor in “being healthy.” I also liked your idea that insurance companies should lower insurance premiums for the healthy individuals.…
Your learning journal entry must be a reflective statement that considers the following questions: 1. Describe what you did. This does not mean that you copy and paste from what you have posted or the assignments you have prepared. You need to describe what you did and how you did it. Read through required materials, and then accomplished the tasks required.…
General Motors has set SMART goals in order to accomplish its future plans for overcoming the bailout from the federal government. The first goal used by GM would be the specific goal, and this has been shown by setting the goal to raise the profit margin, and the second SMART goal is met by establishing a measurable unit, being 10% (Kinicki, 2013). If GM accomplishes this goal, it will be ranked with one of the highest profit margins in the automobile industry. General Motors has set its sights high by announcing that it plans to make $10 billion a year. This satisfies both goals of specific and measurable.…

When I was younger I always stayed active. I never ate well, but my mom always made me eat at least a few vegetables. My overall goal in this project was to get a job or just look into getting one. I chose this goal because I want/need a job and I want my own money because instead of asking my parents for money I can just get the money out of my pocket. I barely ask my parents for money, but still, I would like to have my own money because my sister always pays for me everywhere we go. I would like to do the same back to her. I’ve procrastinated so bad that I’m doing my project in the last week that its due because I already have a busy schedule and that I’m trying to fit another thing into my schedule.…
Although I was unable to reach my goals, I do think that the goals I set for myself were realistic, and if I had been more serious and strict on myself, I would have been able to reach them. The obstacles that I wrote down originally were fairly accurate, as well as other challenges…
I could not agree more with contemporary blogger Teal Swan’s quote that “We do not fear the unknown; we fear what we think we know about the unknown”. Although I would not describe myself as particularly timorous, as I left my family in the Heathrow departure lounge I admit I had a few reservations: How am I going to live in another country? Will I fit into the Babson campus? Will I make friends? What am I going to do with my family 3,000 miles away?…
