My Role Model Essay

Thinking back when I was three years old I always looked up to my grandma and my mother these two woman are the most important role models in my life. They are the hero’s that helped me get as far as I have gotten today. Without their knowledge and understanding I wouldn’t be the person I am today. They inspired me to chase my dreams from me seeing them live out theirs. Growing up without a father all I had was these woman figures in my life and they have taught me how to be a better person and men then my dad could have ever taught me. All my success they I have had in school goes to them. I am truly blessed to have such great people in my life who wants the best for me in life. My grandmother has helped me to be a better man by teaching me gentleman qualities like how to treat a lady and how you should treat others the way you would wanted to be treated. My grandma was always at my games when I played basketball. I use to tell her I wanted to quit because the coach didn’t give me enough playing time so I really hated it. I felt like I was really better than the other players and worked harder but the coach didn’t see it so I felt like there was no point of me to keep playing. But my grandma told me to never give up that easy that’s what they want you to do is quit if you keep showing up and giving your best at what you do in practice and at the games the coach will see your true talent. Being without a father is hard but she was the mother and father to me she taught me how to be the best man I can be. Growing up raising me and my brothers and sisters she did a great job. She always worked 8 hours shifts as a nurse she does and amazing job in taking care of us and supporting us at all of our event’s like going to school plays or going to sports events. She is a superwoman to me being able to raise us with no help from a father figure is amazing to me. I always worked extra harder to help her out and not stress her because I realized mommy needed for me to step up in me being the oldest. She always told us that she loved us and she was proud of us before we went to sleep. I never really thought about it much until today at all she’s done for me is a lot. I appreciate her for teaching me how to do things the right way and never cheat life. I hope that one day I can be a great parent like she
