My Involvement As A Leader Of NHS

My involvement as President of this years National Honor Society at Burlington High School has been one of great dedication and hard work. I have to say, it has not been an easy task, but it has taught me an aray of different lessons dealing with management of particular tasks and using time more efficiently. My life is hectic enough as it is living on a farm, playing high school sports, and challenging myself academically as much as possible, and NHS has only added to that work-load, but in no way would I ever change my decision to be a leader of NHS. This year has been extremely rewarding to me as I have launched two projects, one of which has been completed as my project team and I helped get seniors registered to vote in Wisconsin for the upcoming election in November. …show more content…

My intrinsic ambition for these projects has led to my obsession to not fail and to see things through. Of course, my ambition has led me down paths that are certainly inconceivable, but many successful ideas as we all know come from those radical notions that keep us awake at night. I have always been taught that ambition is a powerful tool and I believe that it has gotten me thus far. Many of us that attended Burlington High School are incredibly fortunate. We live in a safe community and receive a great public education for free. There are endless amounts of opportunities for kids like us, it just depends on if we take them or not.
