This I believe: I believe that all students regardless of race, gender, ethnicity or economic status deserve a quality education. Other than the first three years of their life the time they spend in middle school is the most transformative time of their life. During this time not only are the students going through many physical changes, but they are also in the middle of finding out who they are as a person.
There are several different aspects to consider when you think about the changes happening to your students. The first and most well know is obviously puberty. During this time their bodies are changing and growing into adulthood. This can lead to confusion as things start happening that have never happened before. As a teacher it is our job to take into consideration that the students are now pumped full of hormones that can and will affect their behavior. We should also be sensitive to the doubt that plagues these young people as they begin this rapid
