An example of a leadership experience in which I have brought a positive influence would be demonstrated in my role as a barista at Starbucks. When I first started working at this store, my coworkers didn't always treat customers with their best face forward at all times, and would sometimes let emotions drive their actions. After working here for months, I encouraged my coworkers to smile more and be more respectful towards the customer. As a group, we have collectively become closer to the paying customer, and learned more how to deal with drama between coworkers. In my experience, I believe that treating people with respect pays off in the end because of the mutual respect you earn. Emotions can be hard to control at work, but I learned to be a professional while dealing with irritating problems.
