My Responsibility to America
Imagine that you lived in a place where you could be whatever you want to be. The possibilities are absolutely endless. You could say what you need to say; either to stand for what is right or to give your opinion on whatever is important to you. You could do what you need to do. This could be by helping others, building your own home on your own land, fighting for the freedom of your country, and even voting for your nation's leaders. This incredible place is America. The ideals of our great nation are bested by no other. She stands for equality among all races, ages, and economic classes. A melting pot for all people of different cultures. Giving back to your country is very important in the grand scheme of things. One good deed or a kind word can cause a chain reaction. America today needs more people spreading the patriotism our country deserves. The next generation is already watching the older one as I am currently doing myself. They may not even fully understand the toll their actions have taken on our nation. That is no excuse, however, for the behavior, we have been seeing. People not standing for the anthem, individuals burning the flags, riots in multiple influential cities, and so much more have flooded America these past few months. America needs more people taking the initiative to be the good citizens this country desperately requires. If every citizen strived to do these things each and every day, what would our great nation be like? One person can make all the difference. All it takes is a single person, a single flame to light the world on fire. It is my responsibility to America to try and be that person. It is all of our responsibilities to strive to be the spark that finally lights the flame in this cold world we live in. Above all, my obligation to America is trying to contribute to society. That is my responsibility to America, trying my hardest to better myself in hopes to make the world around me just that much sweeter. By respecting my country, by bettering its future, and fighting for its freedoms I will be making America great again. Wise decisions and treating others fairly will bring peace to this
