I am ready to participate in a residential learning community, such as Governor's School; however, at the same time I have never been separated from my family and local community for so long. I am ready for what they have to offer, the additional skills I can acquire and the knowledge I will acquire from this experience. I am ready to experience something that is not offered to you everyday, something that will have a huge influence on my life. The part I am not as prepared for is being away from my family for so long. I have never had an experience such as this one before, so I have never had to go through this type of separation before. I will however get used to the fact of being away from them and enjoy this experience that has been offered
