Although I do not have any bonds or relationships with South Carolina, I think my life experiences and future professional interests would be of benefit to the state of South Carolina. As a child, I grew up in a rural area on a farm that was quite distant from nearby healthcare facilities. I find it important to ensure that residents in rural areas receive high-quality healthcare. Wherever I end up practicing as a physician, I plan on contributing as much as possible to rural areas. Given the fact that the majority of South Carolina counties are considered “rural” or “very rural”, I think this would be of great benefit to the state.
