My Spiritual Philosophy

Decent Essays
First of all, my spirituality should play an integral part in every aspect of my life; however, more specifically, this will play itself out in my chosen profession. As a future educator, the classes I am currently taking are giving me various options and avenues that will help me to be able to integrate my beliefs into my classroom. Even though I will not specifically be able to witness to my students, I will still be able to pray for them every day and that is exactly what I intend to do. I have been called to lead children, and with this comes the responsibility of leading them towards the Savior. Even if showing them Christ’s love through my actions is the only way I can witness to them, that is exactly what I will do. My faith will help …show more content…
With the budgeting plan I worked through, I will have enough each month to give the designated amount. This does mean, however, that I will not be able to have much spending money left over, which is fine. We are meant to be minimalists in this life, especially since we do not bring our belongings to Heaven. There is no reason for me to have more than $20 or $30 set aside each month for leisure and miscellaneous purchases. Many parents today believe that if they buy their children the newest technology, the children will like the parents more. This is not a healthy relationship though. I would rather have a family game night, a church party, or a block party for the neighbors. Spending quality time together and talking is the most important factors in building a relationship with someone. Today’s society needs to return to the time when people would actually sit down and get to know each other over a meal or coffee. Nothing extravagant but still

Scorgie (2011) contends, “Christian spirituality is ultimately about being attentive to the Holy Spirit’s voice, open to his transforming impulses, and empowered by his indwelling presence” (p. 27). In other words, a life that is being formed spiritually will be sensitive to the voice of the Holy Spirit, in order to be renewed and invigorated through Christ living in him. This formation is a process that will endure throughout a person’s life, as they continually yield to the work of the Holy…
