My Philosophy of Learning
We have all heard the term 21st-century learning. What does it mean? How is that relevant in our world today? Why do we educate? We educate to prepare our children for their future. Educators teach students to be innovative contributors to their world. In order to achieve this in our century, education must be student centered. I believe the philosophy of learning is to love, engage and inspire every student in our school. I believe that each student must possess the vital skills for use in the 21st century such as critical thinking, collaboration, creativity, and communication. School leaders, community, teachers, and parents must work collaboratively to develop an effective curriculum that meets the individual needs of students. The curriculum is a guide for instructions.

Informal teacher evaluations and walkthrough observations can help teachers to improve themselves effectively in teaching (The Oregon School Boards Association, 2009). It is my goal as a school leader, I will give constructive feedback and my feedback will not based on assumptions and compare the school personnel with someone else. I will sit with my colleagues on weekly basis to boost my school employee’s motivation.
The former CEO General Electric Jack Welsh says that “before you are a leader, success is all about growing yourself. When you become a leader, success is all about grooving others”. This sounds much like the word of transformational leader. I want to be a transformational leader and believe that transformational leadership is the best way to lead my school to positive school climate change. It is my goal to inspire my colleague to look to the future, to advocate technology in student learning and to be knowable of national technology
