My Reflection: Improving My Writing Class

Writing has always been a challenge to me. I would like to think that I have improved my writing after taking this class. I believe that my writing was bad to a point where I did not know where to go with some of the grammar and how to approach my thesis statement. I took WST test and I believe that I did well but I was not able to get satisfactory score on the test. I did get 7 on the WST test and had to take a class to clear WST requirement. Taking English 3003 has helped me with my writing because I have learned that how to approach and write thesis statement and I think that it is going to make my writing better. First thing that this class has helped me with is putting a thesis statement together. Putting a thesis statement has always been a challenging step for me and while taking this class and doing some exercises helped me with how to approach a thesis statement and how to develop it. I have struggle with thesis statement and it is not being an easy thing for me to follow or come up with on a short notice, especially when I am doing a timed writing. Writing a thesis statement is not easy and this class helped me with how to word a thesis statement so it can have maximum effect on my essay. This class help me with how to word and put together a thesis statement. I learned that while writing a thesis statement we can use “because” to make it more effective. I learned that putting reasons while writing a thesis statement makes it more effective. As you can see that writing a thesis statement and how to approach a thesis is never been an easy task for me but taking this class has helped me how to approach a thesis statement and how to word it for maximum affect.
