My Realistic Inventory

Decent Essays
I beielve that the inventory was 80% accurate about where my interests are, because it almost matched my personality. Out of all the categories, I agree with my “Realistic” results the most. I am honestly much better at physical work than mental work. Although I consider myself a smart person, I tend to struggle and become very stressed when it comes to work that requires a lot critiacal. The “Realistic”results also mentioned that people who fall into that category enjoy working with plants and animals. I found that statement to be very relatable, because I work with cats and dogs at a grooming shop. Were there any areas of concern or anxiety about having your career interests evaluated? I do very well in school, but sometimes it depends on the subject. I do best in math, and history, because they are the easiest to study and practice for. Others the results were right on target and the test described me very accurately. As I mentioned I am a reserved person that I select when I will allow myself to be the center of attention and be part of the spotlight. As a result, I have concluded that I am a very passive person where I tend to stay on the sidelines and observe what might be going on. I was shocked the type of profession would best suit me. All though I have chosen a very different profession.…

While I completed this assessment, I did not know of the three categories. I agree with my results because my feelings on my work change according to the day and the events that transpire. Somedays I am passionate, while others are just a mode of earning money. When I am feeling ambitious, I try my best to excel in my work instead of my normal.…

Even though my major has nothing, even remotely close, to those suggestions (I’m a business major), as I took a closer look and analyzed the results, I figured out why this made sense in the terms and context of the tests. The Holland’s code identified me to be AIS: Artistic, Investigative, and Social. Whosoever has had the slightest bit of experience with therapy, could guess that with all those things put together, one could only assume that it all fits perfectly towards being a therapist. It states that I enjoy observing people and their behaviors, while helping them take charge on their lives and tackle their issues. Along with that, I hold family to be a very important thing in my life, since I was raised in a family oriented culture, so I take it personal which would help me relate to…
