Reading a section of the Odyssey was my biggest reading challenge yet. This complex poem, written so many years ago, had such a deep level of emotion and detail, it was overwhelming. As we read through this poem, Odysseus did everything he could to find his way back to the ones he loved. Although in the beginning of the reading the message was difficult to understand, in the end it was clear; never give up on the ones you love. I am anxious, optimistic, but most of all I am fearless. I am anxious to put the experience I have with reading and writing to use. I am optimistic because of the knowledge that has been instilled in me through my teachers since I began school at the age of five. But I am fearless because of the lessons I have learned. With those, I have gained six extremely important life lessons. As I grow older, I may forget every single reading and writing lesson ever taught to me. But one thing is for certain, that I will never be able to forget the life lessons that came from within those simple school
