As a junior at Northville High School, I am already discovering my passion for business through my participation and leadership roles in organizations such as DECA. I have obtained not only extensive marketing and general business knowledge through self-studying for competitive tests, but also practical communication, presentation, and sales skills while representing various business professionals in judged roleplay scenarios. I have placed at the district, state, and international level in my events, and this year I will have competed at the International Career Development Conference for my third year. These experiences give me a good foundation of understanding business concepts, and I plan to learn more about how businesses operate in the global market through the Business is Global program at the Kelley School of Business.…

Maria, I really enjoyed the review you chose for this assignment, it was very funny and well written. In your grammatical revision you capitalised ecstasy alongside Skittles, which I don’t believe needed to be done since ecstasy is not the brand name of the ecstasy pills. I really enjoyed your comprehensive revision. The way you rearranged some of the sentences really helped the cohesiveness of the review and made it funnier, but I found it a little strange that you decided to put TOM RIDDLE and RADIANT FARMS in all caps but had changed that in your grammatical revision.…

I’ve lived a life of problem solving and resourcefulness. The vivid memory of an awkward, overweight, non-athletic kid stumbling through his middle school hallways still sears in my head. With this apparent inadequacy, I remember challenging myself to overcome. I set the bar high and challenged myself to constantly improve. The hard work paid off, and by the end of my senior year of high school, I was voted by my class “Most Changed Since Freshman Year” out of over 500 students (While also being nominated in the “Best Personality” category).…

Being the eldest daughter in the family, my father placed a big responsibility on me to learn inside and outside of the business.…
