More importantly, my “Purpose Paper” goes over my long term goals, short term goals, and what will result after they are achieved. Briefly my goals all fall into one finish line, academically get my college degree in order to pursue a career that’s stable to support my personal life with family friends etc. It’s been embedded into our central intelligence to follow the strict path of academia, work family, then retirement.
No matter how hard I try to break out of the constant rhythm of life it seems that I’m always forced back to the same beat. The career that I already pursue doesn’t require a college degree it requires a license and “know how,” I do life insurance and financial services and I’m already life licensed. College has become an obstacle more than anything, it’s fallen so low on my values it drives me harder to get it over. Personally I seek to become a life insurance broker and to own an office. These values help me to achieve my goal

Part of the reason why I pushed myself to go into college was because it’s a known fact that getting a well-paid job without a college degree is rare. Minimum wage can barely help one survive. MONDAY When it comes to senior year, the only thing on my mind is accomplishing the goals that I've been putting off since freshman year. The first goal on my agenda is to keep up my academics. I'm sure all the high strung goodie goodies say that but don't let me fool you; I left a little room for enjoyment. I plan to let loose and have a laugh with my peers at the many extracurricular events held by this great hometown of mine. This is, after all, my last year so I'm going to do it the right way.…

I have always had a passion for the arts, both in fine art and literature. I’ve always had a pull toward the fine arts and creating imagery, but had essentially tabled the idea of creating such imagery with words. I think one of the main reasons that I had waited so long to declare this major was because the pursuit of my Bachelor’s degree in Art took up a large portion of my time, so I was concerned about having such a fierce workload. Now that I have nearly completed my degree, I have been giving more thought to my writing as a whole, and after my Intro to Creative Writing class this semester, I knew that I had to pursue my writing goals. Writing takes the work of art you wish to create and not only manifests it into a written world, but creates new dreams.…

My undergraduate career to date has been a process of reacquainting myself with my strengths and values - and learning about the possibilities open to me - that culminated in choosing a firm goal: becoming a psychological counselor. Since making that decision, I have worked to develop the knowledge, skills, and understanding needed to build a solid foundation for graduate-level training, and now seek a Master 's degree in counseling psychology in preparation for becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor. While working toward my first bachelor 's, I had a lot of trouble deciding on a major because although my real interests were in Psychology, everyone I spoke to about it would respond slight demeaningly. I recall getting a lot of “what are…

Describe your educational and career goals and explain what or who has inspired or helped shape these goals. During my high school years, I recall working in the fields during vacation breaks with my mother harvesting tomatoes, picking up cherries, and pruning grape vines. Fascinating as it sounds, I was always intrigued to understand why fruits and vegetables spoil or often cause food poising in humans. Although, when I questioned my mother why these fruits spoil, she responded it was due to "little bugs," which was not a sufficient response.…
