I did not know a soul, in fact, I never even been to Tennessee until the day I drove in, in my moving truck. Looking for new challenges and more opportunities for development, I came across a phenomenal company: 5.11 Tactical. After months of interviews, I chose to accept the position of Territory Manager with this company. I now work in the sector of Law Enforcement sales. I manage various inside and outside sales reps in dealers in Tennessee and Alabama. Spending the majority of my time in Police/Fire/EMS agencies, and working to cultivate the brand.
Now having solidified my career path, I yearn to continue to my education. I believe a person needs a strong combination of education and experience to succeed in his or her field. I believe I’ll learn to present my ideas more effectively, and get a profound understanding of business. To be completely transparent, my entire insight into business has been from on-the-job experience and reading books. I have never taken a business class. I was able to lead my first sales meeting, doing a complete business review and overhaul for my account, because I spent weeks researching business models, verbiage, and other core competencies of the business world.
