Prewriting, in essence, is just as important as creating the final copy of your work as it ensures that your writing is well formed and thought out. Without getting your ideas put into the best order possible the outcome would appear lifeless and unclear. I used “prewriting” techniques prior to knowing that it was an actual thing.
Out of the five strategies shown in our textbook, I use both the “listing” and “outline” techniques as they seem to create more order out of my oftentimes chaotic thought process. I do not believe I could simply choose one strategy and create my best work. “Listing” and “outlining” are very similar yet uniquely different, thus aiding in the prewriting process.
