My Pre-Med Career Analysis

My freshman year at the University of Georgia was one that was liberating in an unexpected way; I came into college as an enthusiastic Biology major, excited to start off my pre-med career. I heard about the public health field when taking a sociology course; in the class, we learned about the disparities of health and different factors contributing to the gap between the rich and the poor, and how one’s income affects their health. I took a health and wellness class, and I realized that I was deeply interested in learning more about how I could contribute to this field.
