Rick Shenkman seems to know seems to know just how to grab the readers’ attention in his book, Just How Stupid Are We? Facing the Truth About the American Voter. While most readers may disagree with his central arguments, I agree with him. I do believe that, as a whole society, the American people are very uninformed when it comes to politics, government, or any other relatively “uninteresting” topics. It has come to my attention that you, among few other Republican representatives, show sizable consideration toward the integration of gun laws and restrictions in our country. I am writing you this letter today to ask that you, a respected official and retired USAF General, hear our country’s cry for reform regarding the weapons that have claimed so many lives, especially just in the first quarter of this year. It may seem obvious, but it is so important to note the impact Party Representatives have on their constituents. As Americans are so busy supporting themselves and the ones closest to them through schooling and working, many do not have time to get thoroughly involved in educating themselves in the politics around them.…
