It went from being a noticeably unsuccessful failing farm that my family almost sold and walked away from, to becoming one of the top farms for Tyson Foods in Northwest Arkansas. From this experience, I realized that nothing in life was going to be handed to me, I would have to vigorously work to become successful. Without this experience our relationship would not be what it is today, and without him I wouldn't have learned the true meaning of hard work and dedication.

The farm itself is just a murky, open, and dusty place. The memories, relationships and realizations I made about hard work and dedication is what means the most. I always give credit to my work ethic and the person I am today to the memories I have at the farm. Looking back on my childhood it's hard to not think about those memories I made and be grateful for what my life has consisted

Home, college town, and memories made are all things I could say to remind myself of the house I used to live in on Perry Street. Here memories were made and things about myself were learned. I used to never be familiar with the town of Albion until I started my time of living here for so long. The handwriting grades were based on neatness and readability.…

In chapter 22, when Jeanne Wakatsuki is reflecting on her experience at Manzanar, she states, “Papa’s life ended at Manzanar… Until this trip I had not been able to admit that my own life really began there” (150). What Jeanne means when she says this is open for interpretation; some may say that her view of the experience changes over time as she matures and begins to think differently about it and finally she is able to make this statement, contrary to her words that Papa and his life are done for at Manzanar. This evidence is from the point of view of Jeanne thirty years after her internment.…
