According to The Vark learning styles questionnaire the two learning styles that I learn best with best are aural and kinesthetic. Aural means I learn best when hearing the information spoken and by asking questions about the concept I am learning. The other way I learn best is being kinesthetic which means I use my five senses and hands on experiences to help me learn. The Aural side of me likes to remember stories, examples, and jokes, to be to relate them to the concept I am learning. I have found that I when attended class and really focus on what the instructor or professor is teaching I am able to grasp the concept that is being taught.…

Nursing programs like the one offered here at Breckenridge, are designed to prepare and educate nursing students like myself to become well-trained Registered Nurses (RN). Before I can become an RN, I will be required to complete the rigorous program set forth by Breckinridge. Compared to any other training I have received in the past, my nursing student success relies upon not only my ability to adapt and overcome various situations presented but also on adopting good study habits. According to an article by American Nurse Today (2010) “Nursing school can cause a tremendous amount of stress, which may lead some students to drop out. Dropout rates for community colleges can range from 18% to 20%” (para. 1).…

I will be writing an informal report analyzing why it has taken me 9 years to complete my bachelor’s degree, the setback encountered, and how I stopped making excuses and finally finishing. The main reason for enlisting the military was to take advantage of the educational opportunity and attain the Montgomery G.I. bill. Despite the training provided to perform job assignments, it was extremely difficult to purse college level education. For the most part each of my appointed commands required a minimum of one year on board prior to approving educational entitlements. I will make sure my academic plan works out for my college career, because I am very goal driven and I will not accept failure. Some of my strengths include being goal focused, having the drive to keep myself on task, and being brutally honest with myself by accepting and asking for help when I need too. Some areas that I need to work on include time management because I am working full time, staying focused on assignments that I see no interest in, and taking point during group projects so my potential group can stay on task and accomplish assignment. I think the two courses I will really like from my major would be GAM-207 Information Technology and Game Design and IT-340 Network and Telecomm Management. I have always found networking and…
