Id Me Personality

Good Essays
After completing and going over the personality profile from “ID Me” Quick Start program, I read some things that I already knew were true and discovered a few new things about myself. I got a few tips on how to improve myself and my study habits in order to perform better in college and in life. My mother and I had previously been interested in the Myers-Briggs personality test just for fun, and we both agreed that my personality type was INFP, the Introverted Intuitive Feeling Perceiving. Ever since childhood I had always been the shy one, into reading my books and playing with Barbies by myself, it’s not that I was lonely it’s was just the way that I was. Ever since high school, anyone who’s known me for a while can tell you that I have really come out of my shell. From making so many new friends, playing on the basketball team, and becoming active in Student Council, I’m just not the shy little girl I used to be and I guess my “ID Me” personality test picked up on that. The “ID Me” personality test decided that my personality type is ENFA, the Extraverted Intuitive Feeling Adapting. At first when I got the results I totally disagreed, I even took the test again because I didn’t …show more content…
Spelman is an all girls private HBCU, and it’s been the top rated HBCU in the country for a number of years. At Spelman I would major in Psychology, and I would participate in their prestigious international study program. I want to study abroad so this would be a fantastic opportunity for me to learn somewhere new and immerse myself in another culture. Last summer I went on a visit and got to take a tour of Spelman and I fell in love. The sense of sisterhood and togetherness that you can just feel walking around the campus amazed me. I love that it is a small school and that there is so much history behind it. Although I list Spelman as just a possibility for me, I can definitely see myself attending school

My research skills grew through this trip provided by Mrs. Mohr. When I first heard about the trip, I wasn’t so interested because I thought all colleges were the same, but my friends then told me to give it a try and that I might end up liking one of the schools, which did end up happening. One extremely helpful thing I learned was that always try to visit the campus first, before applying because you might get accepted and eventually hate it. I have also learned to always look at the majors, programs, activities, etc a school has. I believe this trip has helped me determine how I will research the school and help me decide whether or not I will apply there.…

Advancing from pre-k to fourth grade was quite a jump. Starting the kiddos off with basic number flash cards to numberring fractions was even a struggle for me! Just as I had got the hang of creating methods for the pre-kindergartners, I had to brainstorm new ideas for easy fraction tips. Connecting with all ages of my tutoring kids was the easiest part of this adventure. Walking into the classroom as a young teen sparked the kids interest rather than and older adult teacher.…

I can remember when I was in school, when a teach read I was amazed they knew all the words and could make the characters jump off the page. With XXXXXXX, I tried to learn the story and understand the author’s voice. I also thought of the presentation and how I would introduce this to my students. This story is out of the norm for our curriculum, but it was easier once I had the support of my school. I also chose to use my class with the most nonengaged learners…

My focus was set on fitting in and not getting lost on my way to class. I began high school playing volleyball, and as the season came to an end, I was uncertain of my next step. Many friends encouraged me to do winter track, but I was very hesitant. One day after school, I timidly approached the coach to introduce myself and get a feel for the team. To my surprise he was the upperclassmen psychology teacher; he read right through me.…

While watching Pretty Little Liars on ABC Family, I decided to experiment with makeup to speed up the process of looking older, but my efforts were unsuccessful and I looked ridiculous. It ended up making me seem even younger because I had never experimented with serious makeup before, like foundation, powder, and eye shadow. My personality still had some catching up to do, too. I was a fairly sheltered middle school student, so it took me a long time before I could hold a decently intellectual conversation. I could not have expected myself to change so rapidly, but television had jaded me into thinking that years could fly by…
