After completing and going over the personality profile from “ID Me” Quick Start program, I read some things that I already knew were true and discovered a few new things about myself. I got a few tips on how to improve myself and my study habits in order to perform better in college and in life. Ever since high school, anyone who’s known me for a while can tell you that I have really come out of my shell. From making so many new friends, playing on the basketball team, and becoming active in Student Council, I’m just not the shy little girl I used to be and I guess my “ID Me” personality test picked up on that. The “ID Me” personality test decided that my personality type is ENFA, the Extraverted Intuitive Feeling Adapting. Spelman is an all girls private HBCU, and it’s been the top rated HBCU in the country for a number of years. At Spelman I would major in Psychology, and I would participate in their prestigious international study program. I want to study abroad so this would be a fantastic opportunity for me to learn somewhere new and immerse myself in another culture. Last summer I went on a visit and got to take a tour of Spelman and I fell in love. The sense of sisterhood and togetherness that you can just feel walking around the campus amazed me. I love that it is a small school and that there is so much history behind it. Although I list Spelman as just a possibility for me, I can definitely see myself attending school

Unlike any of the other colleges I have applied to if I go to USD I will already achieve one dream I had since I was a third grader: going to California. It may not sound like such a big dream, but to a girl who never got to travel much this is a huge deal. And not only will I be going to California, but I will be living there! The third-grade version of me is screaming of joy right now to have that chance. Another reason why USD stands out to me is because they go beyond academics and really push students to be a part of the community.…
