I went from episode 1 being extremely uncomfortable and nervous teaching to episode 2 being more comfortable and passionate about the topic I am teaching. The overall enthusiasm between the two is very different. The way I speak in video 1 to 2 is way more confident and way less of the scripted feel. Looking forward into my teaching career I think there are still many things I need to work on. Another thing to keep in mind looking forward is my confidence and passion in the teacher role as the episodes showed growth in this area there is always room to improve. Feeling confident and passionate really helps set the tone in your classroom, your students knowing you care and love your career re assures them to trust you along their education path. I feel that the use of the videos is a great way to document your progress and analyze yourself to improve. This idea is something I will keep practicing throughout my 4 year journey so I can see my growth and pick apart my weak points. Now that I am more aware, I will be more cognizant of my voice and confidence level. It was good to be prepared beforehand with a script outlining all the questions I wanted to ask, but I think it became too much of a crutch and I was not comfortable just having a conversation with Amy. It was not natural and felt more forced, almost like an exam that we had to get through. In the future, I will not write out all the questions I want to ask, but instead just have an outline in front of me with a list of the subjects we need to cover.…

This was reinforced by feedback I received which said “you seemed slightly nervous at first but then as confidence grew the teaching became increasingly better.” I felt this was due to a lack of preparation and could have easily been resolved by practice and repetition. Also, next time I will prepare some notes to prompt me and to ensure I do not forget to mention any important details the students may…
