How does the child act at home? Is he/she potty trained? Some of the question that would be in that questioner. Without the collaboration of parents I believe the educator wouldn’t know how to bond with the individual. With the help of parents teacher would be aware of those who might need more help. In my case I would send a weekly letter of what children are doing in class, what book we are reading and whether their is a homework assignments. This would help the students share what they learn at school, and parents see the development. Parent teacher conference would be a little different instead of just communicating with the parent. If the student is present, both the child and parent along with me will set goals and see how we can achieve them and what we have achieved since the last visit. Parents will always be welcome into the classroom.
As an individual myself believe in diversity. One major factor in the classroom, we all are different ethnicity color, speak different languages, have different beliefs and they will all be welcomed in the classroom. That way children interact with one another and also share different points of view of the world.
Overall a classroom should be a safe place where children explore the world and find themselves learning within each activity done in the classroom. Where students discover new things and are excited to share them with their peers, parents and siblings. It is exciting seeing children explore their word and how to develop in a safe environment.
