Personal Narrative: My Personal Philosophy

A philosophy is a system of beliefs and values. It is an academic discipline, a system of thinking and has values of tenants. My personal philosophy is built on a triangle. There are three key factors that make up the triangle. The first point of the triangle is personal values, the second one is based on my beliefs, ideology and my religion, the final point of the triangle is my friends and family and the social aspect of my life. Other factors have contributed in inventing the person I am now.
I have many personal values and morals. From the recent re-vamped movie version of “Cinderella”, the prologue is filled with an emotional monologue by Cinderella’s biological mother, within her speech she addresses Cinderella and tells her “to be kind, and have courage”, for a unexplained reason I seem to get emotional every time she says it. I have chosen to live by this quote; I chose to attempt to be kind and caring and to try to think of others before me. I would also like to reform my way of thinking by never saying something crude or inappropriate, this helps me to think of others. I look up to every one of my family members, not only because I am the youngest, because they are all role models, I learn to be wise from my father, gentle from my mother, independent from my sister and confident from my brother. I am so glad that I have a family of diverse and supportive people, they make me feel special and I will do anything for them. Family comes first.
