Intensive English Reflection

My Sojourn Through Intensive English 2 Throughout my sojourn of Intensive English 2, I’ve come to grow a great deal within my work. This can not only be seen by my essays but also on my capability of taking notes while reading now. I wouldn’t have been able to grow though without the help from Mrs. Pendell, especially with her way of explaining all of the essays, notes, and assignments in an understandable way. From the beginning of the year to now I can definitely see a huge change in my writing. Especially when looking at my Oedipus the King essay to looking at my Catcher in the Rye essay. I went from getting a B- to an A on the other. I had not cited enough information, and sticking to my thesis statement was a bit of a struggle on my Oedipus the King essay. With my Catcher in the Rye essay though, I was able to cite a lot more information in a more understandable way, while sticking to my thesis. I have grown exceptionally within my writing and I have accomplished better note taking on my reading. Though I hope to continuing strengthening these skills. So for my next English class I plan to set the same goals, although add working on my hook writing, conclusion writing, and sticking to the information I state rather than jumping around. I think also I should focus on learning to further use the information I obtain in my writing in more explanatory ways. If I could start over this course though I feel that I would definitely have tried to focus more on my essays, especially the ones I’m least proud of. I regret rushing through some of my essays, and not taking my time to put in the information I should have, just because I was worried about time. Since I did so I was not able to show my full
